Description
A beautiful photographic tribute to historic barns of the West, the icons of rural American history.
From the Author
I recall as a boy five years of age first setting foot in my grandfather’s barn in Martin, Tennessee. As it turned out, that was the only time I ever visited the family farm, but my mental picture of that old barn is as crisp and clear today as if it were only yesterday … so clear, in fact, that it stands out as one of the few indelible images of my boisterous boyhood. I’ve often mused over that memory and why an initial encounter with a piece of rural architecture should leave such a deep and long-lasting impression. Perhaps you’ve felt some of the same feelings and harbored some of the same curiosity.
