Description
These solid brass router template guides are used to duplicate parts using a handheld router or router table. They can be installed on any router or base palte with a 1-3/16″ through hole and a 1-3/8″ counterbore. The router bit protrudes through the center hole in the guide bushing while the outside rides along the outline of a pattern. These are preferred over bearing guided router bits as they produce less vibration and thus produce a smoother cut and reduce tearout. They are constructed from solid brass to resist vibrating loose, resist corrosion and to prevent sparking and damage to router bits if inadvertently struck with a spinning bit. The low profile designs works with thinner template material down to 1/4″ thick. Each guide comes with a separate lock nut.
