Narex 4 Piece Mortise Chisel Set (4, 6, 10, 12mm)

Description

These mortise chisels are made by Narex of the Czech Republic and are of exceptional quality. The blades are made from fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to 59 HRc. The blades take and hold an excellent edge. The blades are precision ground. The blades are ground at a 25 degree bevel. The blade width tapers 0.030″ from tip to shoulder for sidewall clearance. The blade thickness tapers from 3/8″ at the tip to 1/2″ at the shoulder. Handles are stained Beech and have 2 steel ferrules to withstand heavy plows from a mallet. The blades have a well-seated heavy steel tang.
