Robert Sorby 3/16 Diamond Parting Tool (831H)

Description

The special profile of this tool reduces the risk of binding in the cut. It also reduces the amount of heat build up caused by friction, thereby lessening the chance of burning the bottom of the parted off project. Made from high speed steel and then properly hardened and tempered. It will keep a sharpened edge about six times longer than carbon steel and resist “blued” softening from overheating during grinding or from heavy turning. Comes with hard White Ash handles and solid brass ferrule.
